Introducing Joseph Fonti from Peninsula Counselling & Psychotherapy:-

I would describe myself as utilising a person-centred, therapist-led, way of working. I am very much informed by Gestalt principles of psychotherapy.

Gestalt therapy aims for the client to gain greater awareness of their experience of being in the world. Rather than suggesting change - clients are encouraged to focus on becoming more aware of themselves, staying present, and processing things in the here and now.  There are multiple principles of this type of therapy with Connectedness at the forefront.

I am here to listen, be curious (asking questions) and support you so that you may begin to develop and grow in your awareness about who you are, how you relate to others, and the world around you in general. This promotes insight, and has the potential to open the door to real and meaningful change in your life.
